The most important floral arrangement of all is the bridal bouquet. With something this important, should you create it yourself or let a professional handle it? This post will teach you how to do it yourself. You can try it out, months before your wedding, and see if you like the result.
First, you need to get all your materials. You’ll need a ribbon, floral tape, scissors and the flowers you want in your bridal bouquet. Now that you have all of those materials ready, let’s begin assembling your bouquet. Start from the center by picking out three of the best roses from your batch. Create a triangle with these three flowers, each one at a slightly different height to add a dimensional appeal to the bouquet.
Then keep adding flowers, a few at a time, until you have a full dome shape. Now you’re going to need someone to help you hold all these flowers. While they hold them, get the floral tape and wind it around the stems. When you’ve got everything to be sturdy, tie the ribbon around the tape, making sure to cover the tape up as best as you can.
Finally, about 1-2 inches below the ribbon, cut off the stems so that they’re all even at the bottom. And there you have it, you’ve created your own bridal bouquet. To keep it fresh, keep your bouquet in the refrigerator. Cover the flowers with a plastic bag. Put the bouquet in a vase with just a bit of water in it. You want to keep the bottom of the stems wet, but not the ribbon.
